50+ Small Wedding Venues in Oregon for Your Micro Wedding (Updated for 2025)
You’ve decided to forgo the traditional, expensive, conventional wedding in favor of an elopement or micro wedding. There are a ton of Colorado wedding venues to sift through out there, but it can be overwhelming when they’re all catered toward weddings of 200+ people. Whether you’re looking for affordable small wedding venues in Colorado, a ceremony site, a unique wedding venue, a wedding venue with mountain views, or small wedding reception venues in Colorado, I’ve got a list that has them all.
Since 2020, smaller weddings have become increasingly popular, and it’s looking like they’re here to stay even beyond the pandemic. I’ve had loads of couples ask me for resources for planning their elopements and micro weddings, so I figured I’d make a resource of small Colorado wedding venues I can give everyone that lists tons of different venues with varying vibes and price points —- so whatever you’re looking for, this list will have it.
Maybe you need a small venue because you’re having a reception afterwards, maybe you have guests that have limited mobility and need a more accessible place, or maybe you have a group size that’s just a little bit too big to take on a hike — no matter what your reason is, there’s probably a venue somewhere in here that can suit your needs.

Oregon Coast Wedding Venues
One of the most beautiful places in Oregon is the coast, and the biggest attraction to most people visiting the state. All the Oregon’s beaches are public, and there are tons of spots along the coast where you can say your vows with scenic cliffs and expansive beaches. These venues are all along the coast and serve as beautiful places to host a ceremony or a reception.

Oregon doesn’t have as much of a striking mountain range as Washington, but there’s still beautiful snowy landscapes, volcanic peaks poking out of clouds, and mountain views surrounded by forests and rivers. Mount Hood is within close proximity to Portland, which makes it easily accessible, and Bend and Joseph have easy access to outdoor activities like hiking, rock climbing, and rafting.

Small Wedding Venues in Portland
Portland is really the only bigger city in Oregon, has the best access to the airport and other transportation, and has the most options regarding vendors. The city itself is weird, wild, rainy, and full of beautiful venues and vendors. The natural spaces and parks in the city are totally unique and to die for as well, which makes it a great city to elope or have a small wedding in.
Eastern Oregon Wedding Venues
Bend, Joseph, Hood River, and other towns in Eastern Oregon have great access to trails, mountain views, and outdoor activities that you can take advantage of as a couple or involve your guests in. Many venues in the mountains will be in Eastern Oregon as well as small towns and outdoorsy communities perfect for an adventurous wedding.

When Do I Need a Venue for My Oregon Wedding?
Bigger Groups
Most parks and public spaces in Oregon don’t allow more than a handful of people to gather for an event. Having too many people joining you for your elopement overhwlems public spaces, takes up parking for other visitors, and harms the natural environment and plants in parks and other wild spaces. If you’re planning on having more than 10-15 people joining you, you’ll need to reserve a venue of some kind.
Privacy
Most venues offer more privacy than a public park or open space. Many popular trails, beaches, and natural areas will have other visitors and hikers that may stumble in on you while you read your vows. If you want to avoid this, you can reserve a space where you can say your vows privately, and then just take photos in the more crowded areas after.
Receptions
A lot of couples I shoot will say their vows privately and then gather with their loved ones for a celebration afterwards. It’s easier to do this in an actual building or some place with shelter from weather and a floor where you can set up chairs, tables, and dance around. As much as i love a little impromptu picnic dinner, it’s best to have a shelter to retreat to when it rains.
Accessibility
Many folks and/or their loved ones are disabled, and walking a rugged trail isn’t ideal for people who need a wheelchair, walker, or other means to get around. Many venues will have better paved pathways and other infrastructure for people who need it. The more basic venues in state parks and campground still might not be able to accommodate everyone, but they’re more likely to have paved pathways an wheelchair accessible ceremony sites than somewhere in the wild.
