Hiking Elopement in Telluride

Hunter and Shelby are both very outdoorsy and wanted a wedding that matched their outgoing spirit, so they decided to hike to their ceremony with all their family members. We started the day in the dark with all their family members, and began the ascent into the Telluride wilderness. The hike was about 2.5 miles to the top, and we took lots of stops along the way for everyone to catch their breath- there were some family members who weren’t as used to hiking at high elevations and almost everybody had a pack full of a bunch of stuff for the ceremony, like a change of clothes, snack, and champagne. When we got to the top, everybody changed into their formalwear to prepare for the ceremony. Shelby was wearing a Jenny Yoo dress from Anthropologie and carried a beautiful bouquet she picked up at the Telluride farmers market the day before. Shelby and Hunter did a little first look, and then everyone gathered to say vows. We celebrated with champagne, ate some snacks, and Shelby and Hunter had their dog sign as witness before we all headed back down the mountain for the descent.
