Ouray Elopement

Hayden and Austin's relationship has kind of always worked backward from what a traditional relationship entails. They began dating, bought a house together, started a family, and then finally, after many years, decided to make it official by eloping. And, like their relationship, everything did not go as planned. We ran into some gnarly weather on our way up to our original destination. A thunderstorm rolled in and caused some flash flooding and landslides, so we had to drive over some small, sudden rivers and washed out roads to get back to the safety of paved roads, which was an adventure to say the least. Luckily, I'm very familiar with the area and I was able to take us to a last minute location that had beautiful views, but wasn't going to take us on a dangerous road. Hayden and Austin said their handwritten vows, kissed, and ended their ceremony with their big family hug that they do each night before they go to bed. To celebrate, in true hillbilly fashion, Hayden and Austin shotgunned a couple beers to commemorate their marriage. The day started as a bit of a disaster, but we made everything work and found the perfect spot for them to share their love, despite the circumstances.
