Crested Butte Elopement in Summer

After already having photographed Kinsey and Kellar in Crested Butte, I was super excited to head to this blue lake in the mountains outside of town to get some elopement photos of them as well. This is one of my favorite locations to visit, and the flowers and icy blue color makes it look like a little fairy tale, which went perfectly with Kinsey’s witchy vibes. We danced around the meadows, took a little trip in the canoe that’s perpetually parked at the lake (which is maybe my favorite thing, ever) and Kinsey was even down to take a dip in the chilly water in her dress, which was so fun to photograph. Kinsey’s dress is super cute, but also super affordable for a simple elopement like this, and both Kinsey and Kellar adorned their hiking boots and Blundstones so they could get real down and dirty with their love. Crested Butte is one of my favorite locations, because it’s just so beautiful everywhere you look- so so many wildflowers, mushrooms, moss, striking peaks, and alpine lakes here and there. Everything is really accessible while also being secluded, it’s an ideal location for authentic and intimate elopements.
