Sunset Taft Point Yosemite Elopement

I’ve seen a million photos from Taft Point, but being there and experiencing sunset for yourself is a totally unreal experience. Abi and Merit were such a dream to work with, I couldn’t have imagines visiting this place with another couple more perfect. When we originally showed up, there was no one else there, which was amazing. We got shots in all the most iconic spots without other tourists around to bother us or get in the way. Once the sun started to set more, though, the place turned into such a zoo of people fighting for places on the cliffside. We still got beautiful photos, though, and managed not to tumble down one of the many precarious crevasses all over the area. Everything was perfect for this shoot, and we were able to shoot in SO MANY different lighting situations, the sunset just kept getting prettier and prettier, it was an absolutely dream. The dress Abi is adorning is from Daci, and I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH. Daci makes the most dreamy and flows dresses, they’re so delicate and beautiful, and the way they photograph is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Abi was insanely good at modeling, but I’m so blown away at Merit’s posing abilities, I’m really curious how Abi has taught him to look the way he does in photos- maybe he’s just naturally really picturesquely in love with her, haha! They’re one of, if not THE most beautifully in love and picture perfect people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I’m absolutely obsessed and can’t wait to return to Yosemite for more amazing days like this one.
