O’Connor Pavilion Wedding in Estes Park

I know Rocky Mountain National Park like the back of my hand, and I used to live in Estes, so shooting Jack and Tori’s wedding was a real joy for those reasons as well as many other. Tori’s style is so cute and boho, all the wedding decor was full of macramé and rugs, and her dress was from BHLDN, which is one of my favorite brands to photograph, because they’re so flowy, and dreamy on camera. This wedding was definitely more DIY heavy, because O’connor Pavilion is pretty basic and doesn’t offer much in the way of decor, and honestly? It was perfect. The florals from Three Poppies Floral were stunning and really helped spruce up the area, adding some gentle flora to the mountain camp vibes. A lot of wedding dinners can be pretty boring or all the same (looking at you, chicken parm), but Jack and Tori decided to serve pizza at their wedding, which is not only way cheaper than traditional catering, but also so much yummier than a lot of other options, which appeased all the kiddos in attendance at this celebration. After getting ready and doing a little first look down by the river, all three of us headed out to Rocky Mountain National Park to take some photos on top of Trail Ridge Road before the ceremony. It was windy and a little bit chilly, but that didn’t deter us from having a good time dancing around above the alpine with the marmots as our witness.

Jack’s dad is a pastor, so he officiated their wedding, and his sister helped play guitar for a worship song they and the guests joined in on. Both Jack and Tori’s parents partook in communion with them to symbolize their coming together under Christ. Jack and Tori’s vows were sweet, jerking tears from friends and family, and the celebration afterward was full of every guest busting moves on the dance floor, drinking, eating, and roasting marshmallows over a bonfire. After the cake cutting, lounging on macramé hammocks, and stuffing their faces with pizza and s’mores, Jack and Tori were sent off with friends and family throwing dried flowers (that they meticulously packed in little baggies the day before) their way- sparklers are a big no no in the mountains of Colorado, so organic decomposing materials are a good alternative. The day was lovely and so full of joy from the two of them, and I’m so glad I could be a small part of their love story.
